North Las Vegas spans about seventy years of housing stock, from 1950s blocks near the old core to homes finished last year north of the 215. Those two extremes have almost nothing in common pest-wise.
The Las Vegas Wash — the valley’s primary natural drainage channel on its way to Lake Mead — flows southeast directly through North Las Vegas. It is also a documented flash flood corridor; a US Geological Survey report on a major 1975 storm recorded wash flooding in North Las Vegas lasting roughly two and a half hours.
Proximity to a live drainage channel matters. Washes hold moisture and vegetation in an otherwise dry environment, which makes them a reservoir for rodents and mosquitoes. Southern Nevada’s mosquito season runs April through October, and health district surveillance specifically includes wash channels and wetlands alongside parks and residential neighborhoods.
Eldorado was largely built between the 1950s and 1970s and has the mature trees and established infrastructure that come with that age. Older housing stock means more settling cracks, more gaps around utility penetrations, and more of the dense vegetation the health district links to valley roof rat activity. It is also where we most often find German cockroach populations that have been established long enough to require baiting rather than spraying.
Aliante alone holds more than 12,000 homes, and the corridor north of the beltway is still actively building. New construction on the desert margin follows the pattern seen across the valley: ground gets disturbed, and displaced scorpions and spiders move into the nearest structure. New homes also tend to have unfinished exclusion — missing door sweeps, open weep holes, unsealed garage corners — that a builder will not come back to fix.
We quote per property after an inspection rather than off a flat menu, because a 1960s Eldorado bungalow and a 2024 Valley Vista build need genuinely different work. We do not lock customers into contracts.

I had a wasp issue near my pool, coming from an unknown location that I had tried every commercial trap and remedy on for 2 years without success. We couldn’t even use our pool anymore. These guy came out one time and I haven’t seen a wasp since! They were very informative and professional and have checked in on us a few times to make sure the wasps haven’t come back. Can’t say enough great things about them! They have saved our backyard!
