Enterprise is an unincorporated Clark County town rather than a city, designated in 2003 and covering roughly 42 square miles in the valley’s southwest corner. Mail here carries a Las Vegas address, which is why so many Enterprise residents search for pest control and get results for the wrong side of the valley.
Enterprise anchors the valley’s fastest new-construction growth corridor, bounded by I-15, the 215 Beltway and the Spring Mountains foothills, about fifteen miles southwest of the Strip. It borders Spring Valley to the north, Paradise to the east, Henderson to the southeast and Blue Diamond to the west.
Almost all of that growth has happened on ground that was open desert within living memory. When grading opens native habitat, the bark scorpions, black widows and desert spiders living there move into whatever shelter is closest — which, on a new subdivision, is the house that just went up.
A new build is not a sealed build. Weep holes, garage door corners, utility and cable penetrations, unsealed thresholds and expansion gaps are all standard on production housing, and a bark scorpion can pass through a gap the width of a credit card. Because they climb stucco and block walls without difficulty, a second storey offers no protection.
The Arizona bark scorpion is the most venomous scorpion in North America and the only species in Nevada considered seriously dangerous. Nevada ranks second nationally in scorpion exposure reports to poison control, and children under ten in Nevada and Arizona show the highest rates of severe reactions — which is the real reason we treat this as a safety issue rather than a comfort one.
Exclusion first, chemistry second. We seal the entry points, fit door sweeps, screen weep holes, address landscape rock and block wall harborage, and then treat the perimeter and structure. Scorpion inspections are done at night with UV light, because scorpions fluoresce and a daytime inspection tells you almost nothing.
Scorpion activity peaks nationally in August and September, and Southern Nevada’s July-to-September monsoon season pushes pests indoors as washes flood. Enterprise homes on the western edge should be on continuous service through that window rather than calling after the first sighting.

I had a wasp issue near my pool, coming from an unknown location that I had tried every commercial trap and remedy on for 2 years without success. We couldn’t even use our pool anymore. These guy came out one time and I haven’t seen a wasp since! They were very informative and professional and have checked in on us a few times to make sure the wasps haven’t come back. Can’t say enough great things about them! They have saved our backyard!
