Henderson is unusual because it contains two very different pest environments inside one city, and a treatment plan that works in one will underperform in the other.
Anthem is Henderson’s largest master plan, developed by Del Webb starting in 1998 across roughly 4,700 acres climbing into the McCullough Range. Much of it sits between about 2,450 and 3,400 feet — several hundred feet above the valley floor — with homes backing directly onto undeveloped desert.
Properties on that desert edge are the classic setup for bark scorpion pressure. The Arizona bark scorpion is the only seriously venomous scorpion species in Nevada, and poison control data ranks Nevada second in the nation for scorpion exposure reports. For foothill homes we focus on exclusion — sealing weep holes, door sweeps, utility penetrations and block wall gaps — because scorpions climb stucco and block easily, and spray alone will not keep them out.
Green Valley is a different story. It was Henderson’s original master-planned community, started in 1978 on 8,400 acres, and after four decades it has the mature tree canopy and established landscaping you would expect.
That is precisely the habitat the Southern Nevada Health District identifies as driving roof rat activity across the valley: palms and cypress for cover, irrigation and pools for water, and fruit trees for food. The health district has trapped nearly 200 roof rats across 35 valley ZIP codes since 2003. In established Henderson neighborhoods we spend more time on tree trimming guidance, roofline and attic exclusion, and bait station placement than on perimeter spray.
Every Henderson property gets an inspection before a quote, because the right plan for a Seven Hills hillside lot is not the right plan for a 1980s Green Valley home with forty-year-old olive trees. Under Nevada rules, any outdoor above-ground rodent bait we place must sit in a tamper-resistant station within fifty feet of the structure, which matters if you have children or pets.

I had a wasp issue near my pool, coming from an unknown location that I had tried every commercial trap and remedy on for 2 years without success. We couldn’t even use our pool anymore. These guy came out one time and I haven’t seen a wasp since! They were very informative and professional and have checked in on us a few times to make sure the wasps haven’t come back. Can’t say enough great things about them! They have saved our backyard!
